As a newbie earlier i had my own myth and fancies about hyperspace travel . The most intoxicating theory was about space and time warp as explained by Einstein. It was really hard to understand then. The only image revolved in my mind was like water sinking in a Whirlpool on the mention of "space time warp'. And of course if u do believe in hyperspace then you are firm believer that aliens might also exist atleast 95% of us do believe in it .
Another interesting theory that you will hold onto was that of Theory of Relativity (though actually it is the originating theory of all) , in it the twin paradox . Oh my god we would as intermediate student would wrenched our mind to extremity to understand it and after some understanding would just fathom on the ingenuity, complexity as well as simplicity of that theory. Well still I think I am not able to fully comprehend that paradox when I start again I think u will feel the same when you are encountered with it face to face, so here it is for you :
There are two brothers who are twin. One of them decides to go into the space in a high speed rocket. After sometime he returns to the earth . to his disbelief he finds that he is now younger than his brother, i.e, he has aged less than his brother. So this is a bit puzzling as each twins sees the other to be traveling , so by the application of "TIME DILATION" by a naive mind, each should have paradoxically the other to have aged more slowly. Confusing , eh! Well actually it is not a paradox, it is a fact as it has been proved within standard framework of relativity. It has been resolved experimentally by measuring the times of precise clocks flown in airplanes and satellites.
So if u want to do your own experimenting on it then dont bother on the fact that if the fact that one brother has aged lesser is true or not because it has been already proved . Though there are many theories explaining this , you might just end up giving your own theory to prove the fact :P
