STARGATE UNIVERSE -II

I have completed Stargate Universe before I even knew about other stargate series. Well at first it was a bit confusing but gradually I started to grasp the storyline. Ithink most of you have started  stargate series just like me. Any ways here is what my own description of STARGATE UNIVERSE.

Originally in sg-1 and Atlantis we knew that there are 7 cheveon for dialing any address , but as all of you have seen that in two of the Episodes of SG-1 SGC dials to Asgard homeworld by Dialing an extra Cheveron, the eighth Cheveron. The logic behind that , what I understood was that the asgard homeworld was too far from earth , even from milky way. Now  the homeworld command created in SGC is more prominent here in SGU. Here a team of scientist discovered that there is a 9th cheveron also, but they were not able to find or deduce it untill a gamer comes into act. Ok this part is so nicely done here by Richard Dean Anderson ( Genral O'Neill), Robert Carlyle (Nicholas Rush) and  David Blue (Eli Wallace) the young intelligent gamer like me :P. So I would not be doing justice to this part of explaining the scene if i dont put their conversation as shown in the episode. so here it is:

So after David Blue (Eli) uncovers the mystery of the 9th cheveron and the team led by Dr Rush finds a gate address , to which they have to rush to under some unforseen circumstances. This address happens to be a Ship built by ancients named DESTINY which is unmanned. They try toomuch in controlling the ships navigational system but all efforts end in vain. The ship launched by ancients centuries ago has mission of its own , and this mission takes the stargate crew very very far in universe, where they encounter many different races and enemies like the Lucian Alliances (Alliance of space pirates and traffickers) formed in SG-1 after Goa'uld demise).
Thats all in this post , in next post tonight or may be tomorrow I will post latest on Stargate Universe Season 3. Till then Bbye.

Stargate Atlantis- SGA

Hey guys it has been long time since my last post, actually was busy in my exams, though they are still on :P. Anyways I have been watching Stargate Atlantis and so i thought i can help you with my views about this  season.

So basically it is connected to Stargate sg-1 as there we have seen that pentagon and international allies have prepared a team of highly talented expeditors in the field of history science medicine and other streams  from all over the world to send them in the nearest galaxy PEGASUS. Well we have been reading in our class text books that pegasus is the nearest of all galaxies to our MILKY WAY. So actually they get a hint from sg-1's expeditions earlier that Ancients have their city somewhere in the universe and may be it is possibly in pegasus galaxy. then they also have an adress to one of the locations in this galaxy . A team headed by Dr. Rodney Mackey has been trying from quite a sometime to dial this address but since this address is located in other galaxy  so ther is a problem of extra power requirement . This extra power cant be achieved by any of the improved naquadah generators they have made . So they need a more powerful source. This source is a ZERO POINT MODULE (ZPM). But they have only one ZPM that is able to maintain awormhole for one-sided journey. so if the expedition team goes to this location they cant return unless they find another ZPM .
                                                          A Naquadah Generator

                                                                            A Zero Point Module (ZPM)

So with all thinking and some motivation from Dr. Elizabeth Weir the team decide to set of to the new location in another galaxy. Well you folks may remember Dr. Weir and Dr. Rodney Mackey from previous episodes of Stargate SG-1 also. So there are some familiar faces here in this new season . Though it is still based on expedition and all like Sg-1 it has its own uniqueness . As the expedition team reaches the other side of the wormhole they found a whole new city as mentioned by Dr. Daniel Jackson as The Lost City of the Ancients , ATLANTIS.

                                                      City Of Ancients- Atlantis

So Atlantis was the city of the ancients , which they abdandoned due to some unknown reason. So this city is actually a giant starship lashed with all the knowledge of the ancients . So the epedition team has a job of finding new friends in this galaxy and discovering many secrets of the lost city . But their job is not so easy as they also discover new enemies like the WRAITHS and Genii.

        Wraith

So thats all about Stargate Atlantis , those who have seen Stargate Sg-1 would not find it so adventorous but I can still give you two reasons why you should watch Stargate Atlantis a) You will came to know more about the Ancients  b) it has a new angle, rather than fighting those slimy little snakes all the time this new enemy is more potent threat than a goa'uld and offer a new challenge to Joe Flanigan( Lt. Colonel John Sheppard)
Torri Higginson (Dr. Elizabeth Weir) ,Rachel Luttrell , Rainbow Sun Francks (Lt. Ford), David Hewlett (Dr McKey, Jason Momoa (Ronen), Paul McGillion (Dr. Carson Backet) and Later Amanda Tapping (Col Carter), Jewel Staite and Robert Picardo.

Dr. Michio Kaku on The Hyperspace and The Theory of Everything - II

A very good day to my readers. I am very obliged by your visit to my blog. Please keep visiting it as u have always. This time we are here to continue my blog on The Hyperspace and The Theory of Everything in context of Dr. Michio Kaku.
As I have discussed in my earlier blogs about relativity and quantum theory, both are precisely opposite. General relativity is the theory of very large (you can say it gigantic); like galaxies , black holes , quasars and even he big bang. As quoting Dr. Kaku " It is based on bending the beautiful four dimensional fabric of space and time ". Whereas the quantum theory is totally based on the sub-atomic particles ; it is the theory of very tiny particles . It is based on tiny discrete particles of energy called quanta. Scientist and other big think tanks have spent decades on trying to unify these to polar opposites and have failed." The road to Unified Field Theory , The Theory  of Everything , is littered with the corpses of failed attempts".

The key to this puzzle ay be the hyperspace. Einstein has allready told that the space -time was four dimensional, it is wrapped and rippled. As we have told in the previous post that these ripples in the space time creates forces known as gravity. Later it was also discovered by Theodr Kaluza that ripples in the fifth dimensional space-time creates light.Like the fsh seeing ripples in the hyperspace moving in their world, many physicist believe that light is created by ripples in five dimensional space-time.
So as we can deduce here that if we increase more and more dimensions then we can accomodate more forces , infact all the four fundamental forces can be described properly if we add more dimensions and bend them in different ways. But is it that simple ??By naively going to 10 dimensions , we also introduce a host of escoteric mathematical inconsistencies for example infinites and anomalies that have kled all previous theories. The one an only theory that has survived till so far is the SUPERSTRING THEORY, in which this 10 dimensional universe is inhabited by  tiny strings.

In fact, in one swoop, this 10 dimensional string theory gives us a simple, compelling unification of all forces. Like a violin string, these tiny strings can vibrate and create resonances or “notes”. That explains why there are so many sub- atomic particles: they are just notes on a superstring. (This seems so simple, but in the 1950s, physicists were drowning in an avalanche of sub-atomic particles. J.R. Oppenheim- er, who helped build the atomic bomb, even said, out of sheer frustration, that the Nobel Prize should go to the physicist who does NOT discover a new particle that year!) Similarly, when the string moves in space and time, it warps the space around it just as Einstein predicted. Thus, in a remarkably simple picture, we can unify gravity (as the bending of space caused by moving strings) with the other quantum forces (now viewed as vibrations of the string).
"Of course, any theory with this power and majesty has a problem. This theory, because it is a theory of everything, is really a theory of Creation. Thus, to fully test the theory requires re-creating Creation! At first, this might seem hopelessly impossible. We can barely leave the earth’s puny gravity, let alone create universes in the laboratory. But there is a way out to this seemingly intractable problem. A theory of everything is also a theory of the everyday. Thus, this theory, when fully completed, will be able to explain the existence of protons, atoms, molecules, even DNA. Thus, the key is to fully solve the theory and test the theory against the known properties of the universe. At present, no one on earth is smart enough to complete the theory. The theory is perfectly well-defined, but you see, superstring theory is 21st Century physics that fell accidentally into the 20th century. It was discovered purely by accident, when two young physicists were thumbing through a mathematics book. The theory is so elegant and powerful, we were never “destined” to see it in the 20th century. The problem is that 21st century mathematics has not yet been invented yet. But since physicists are genetically predisposed to be opti- mists, I am confident that we will solve the theory someday soon. Perhaps a young person reading this article will be so inspired by this story that he or she will finish the theory. I can’t wait!" - Dr. Kaku

Dr. Michio Kaku on The Hyperspace and The Theory of Everything - I

Note:- Some parts of the blog are taken from an excerpt from an articleof Dr. Michio Kaku.I have just tried to make available everything to my readers at one place rather than searching it all over the net.
In his article Dr kaku has been able to explain the presence of more dimensions than only four . Yes there are four dimension we have in ourpresent understanding though most of us are familiar with only three .But there is a fourth one too, the TIME as a DIMENSION.I think now you can use your imagination and your logical reasoning to understand timeas a dimension. So let us concentrate on understanding the existence of more number of dimensions than these four.

Dr. Kaku has given an example from his childhood when he use to visit a pond nearby his residence . He would see carps swimming in there. Now let us assume that we are those carps and that pond is our universe.Wecan swim backwards and forewards, left and right . But we never thought to swim "up" beyond the lily pads that would be totally unimaginable and alien to us.Now think of an highly intuitive and full of imaginations carp scientist living in this universe of ours. He comes with an idea
of hyperspace i.e third dimension above the pond. He would immediately be labelled as a crank as soon as he spills out his theory to this world. Now think of an alien (let this alien be a human in this case) he pulls out
that carp from that pond into the 'hyperspace'. What a wondorous story thatcarp would tell to others! He won't take a breath in telling all the things he has seen , new laws of physics, beings who don't need fins to breathe, that can et sounds without creating a bubble. But the question was how could a carp scientist would know about the existence of humans if it were not pulled out of water. Dr kaku says that one day it rained and the raindrops formed ripple across the surface of the pond.  Then that carp could see the rippling shadows on the surface of the pond.He could see the vibrations of the third dimensions clearly , though the third dimension itself would be invisible to him. These carps would then give a name to this force like light and gravity , hahaha how funny no such forces exist at all it is just the rippling water.

This is the same case with us, humans, today. We are blissfully living in our tiny little pond unaware of the unseen of the invisible of the uni-verses hovering just above us in the hyperspace. We are spending our life in those three spatial dimensions , confident of what we can see with our telescope is all there is and ignorant of the possibilty of ten dimensional hyperspace. Although we cant see these higher dimnesions but we can see and feel their ripples . We call these ripples gravity and light. And thus the theory of hyperpace would lie there forever due to lack of evidence and proofs. But as in the words of Dr. Kaku the theory, once considered the province of eccentrics and mystics, is being revived for simple reasons; it may hold the key to the greatest theory of all , THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING.

Yes it is 'the holy grail' of physics . Great scientist like Einstien havespent the last thirty years of his life chasing after this theory. He wanteda theory that could explain all the fundamental forces that governs the
universe; Gravity , Electromagnetism, Weak and Strong Nuclear forces. He was searching for an equation no longer than an inch that could be placed on the hat you were wearing but still so powerful that it could explain everything, from Big-Bang, exploding stars, to atoms and molecules , to the lilies of the field. He wanted to read the mind of God. Ultimately, Einstein failed in his mission. In fact, he was shunned by many of his younger compatriots, who would taunt him with the ditty, “What God has torn asunder, no man can put together.” But perhaps Einstein is now having his revenge. For the past decade, there has been furious research on merging the four fundamental forces into a single theory, especially one that can meld general relativity (which explains gravity) with the quantum theory (which can explain the two nuclear forces and electro- magnetism).

This is it for today , will post the second part of this pot soon, where we would try to understand dimensions higher than 5 as explained by Dr. M. Kaku.

THE NAME DIFFRENTIATING FACT FROM THE FICTION - Dr. MICHIO KAKU

This name is on eof the most leading names in the science community. He is author of several popular books on physics and related topics. He is the co-founder of THE STRING THEORY. He is a communicator and popularizer of science among the mass.
Born to japanese immigrant parents on January 24, 1947 Dr. kaku graduated from CUbberly High school in Palo Alto in 1964. He was awarded the prestigious Hertz Engineering Scholarship after his top of the class performance at National Science Fair in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that attracted the attention of Edward Teller, a notable physicist of that time.
Dr Kaku has dedicated 30 years of his life engaged in defining THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING which seeks to unify the four fundamental forces of our universe (Read my earlier blogs for this ). He is a fellow of American Physical Society and listed in American Men and Women of Science and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Kaku is the author of several doctoral textbooks on string theory and quantum field theory and has written 170 articles in journals covering topics such as superstringtheory , supergravity, supersymmetry and hardonic physics. some of the most noteworthy books authored by Dr. Kaku are

                       1) Visions

                       2) Hyperspace (it was a best seller and was voted one of the best science book of the year)

                       3) Einsteins Cosmos

                       4) Parallel worlds

                       5) Beyond Einstein (co-authored by Jeniffer Thompson)

                       6) Physics of the Impossibles.

In 1999, Kaku was one of the scientists profiled in the feature-length film Me and Isaac Newton, directed by Michael Apted. It played theatrically in the United States, was later broadcast on national TV, and won several film awards. In 2005, Kaku appeared in the short documentary Obsessed & Scientific. The film is about the possibility of time travel and the people who dream about it. He also discussed the future of interstellar exploration and alien life in the Discovery Channel special Alien Planet as one of the multiple speakers who co-hosted the show, and Einstein's Theory of Relativity on The History Channel.
Kaku has also done something for gamers like us . In 2010, he began to appear in a series on the website Gametrailers.com called Science of Games, discussing the scientific aspects of various popular video games such as Mass Effect 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. In his public speaking and media appearances he covered a wide variety of topics from kardashev scale  to more esoteric subjects such as wormhole and time travel.
Kaku has also voiced his concerns on global warming ,climate change and international terrorism as serious threats in man's evolution from a Type 0 civilization to Type 1.

Stargate Series

Well this series is one of  the best T.V fiction made on the Hyperspace technology and its uses in exploration of other galaxies. In the stargate series the first one to come up was the 1994 science fiction film STARGATE. In this science fiction many of the galaxies like Ori, Pegasus, Milky Way, etc were linked with a network of 'stargates' which connected the far reaches of these galaxies. This stargate was a device that was able to create a wormhole for a near instantaneous planetary travel faster than the light itslef.

The first one to come up in this series was the Stargate SG-1 in 1997. Its story begins one year after the events of 1994 in the Movie  Stargate. STARGATE SG-1 showed the different exploits of  over more than 25 SG teams but mainly SG-1. The story was tried to built upon different Egyptian Gods . The SG teams explored different galaxies and triend to save the  Earth countless time against the attacks of Goa'uld , replicators and later the Ori.This series surpassed The X-Files in 2007 as the longest running North American science fiction series on television.
Goa'uld were the evil symbiots who posses some host mainly humans and pretend to be Gods named after Egyptian gods.
While the replicators were the army of highly intelligent robot types that were created in order to provide safe heavens to its owner but due to its faulty progrmming they went rogue and started to consume every technology that came in its way.
I will tell more about the Ori after I have finished my dvd of stargate SG-1 seasons.

So this is it for now , this is ved prakash taking leave from you . Will be back with my Blog on Parallel Universe in the Truth Section . Meanwhile follow this section too for my next synopsis of Stargate Atlantis. Have a good day  :) .
